Our View
Forget trekking through the desert à la
Indiana Jones - we'll take the Zahra every time! It's quite a way
to explore five thousand years of history - an unhurried,
oh-so-relaxing seven day cruise from Luxor to Aswan (or vice
versa), taking in some of the most famous sights including Karnak,
the Valley of the Kings and the Aswan Dam.
The itinerary also allows for lots of
'spa time' (in fact, we found that possibly even more captivating
than the temples and monuments)!
Hotel Description
The Zahra offers all the understated
elegance and luxury that Oberoi's renowned for, in a surprisingly
spacious floating paradise.
The beautifully appointed cabins have
plasma TVs and marble bathrooms, while the two Luxury Suites have a
private sundeck with Jacuzzi.
It's also the Nile's only cruiser with
a full service spa, as well as a gym, pool and even a theatre.
The on-board cuisine is excellent, and
for the tours, guests are divided into groups of six with their own
Egyptologist.
