Our View
Located in the Palmeraie District just outside the medina
(centre) of Marrakech, Amanjena is a private oasis of calm.
Ideal for a weekend break or a week-long escape, it is a
destination that conjures up impressions of Biblical times.
The Spa with hammam is excellent, with service levels that you
would expect of an Amanresort. We recommend a Pavilion with Private
Pool - just the thing for total seclusion.
Hotel Description
This visual masterpiece pays homage to the exotic culture of
Morocco. Striking local materials have been used to dramatic
effect with a kaleidoscope of inspirational colours ranging from
turquoise blue to sunset red, which beautifully offsets the
olive groves, fruit trees and snow-capped Atlas Mountains.
At the heart of the resort is the bassin, a huge
fish-filled pool of water that runs between the coloured pavilions
and 'maisons'. These vast and lavish private residences
feature wood-burning sunken fires and terraces with pillared
gazebos enclosing plump cushioned seating areas and candle
lanterns; some include private swimming pools, gardens and a
personal butler.
The setting is serene but there are many activities available,
like a round of golf on a championship course located
alongside the resort, private coaching on the clay tennis courts or
hiking on Mount Toubkal. Guests can also enjoy souk trawling
and treatments at the luxurious spa.
