Our View
This is actually owned by the King of
Morocco. And as we love a royal connection, it's one of our Eden
Favourites.
It overflows with silks, brocades and
antiques, but we love the idea of separate riads (town houses)
built into the ancient walls. You're at the city's heart too,
unlike other hotels this size which tend to be in the new town.
To keep service discreet, there's a
network of underground tunnels for staff to use; and the top-notch
team is overseen by Executive Chef Yannick Alléno, who previously
won three Michelin stars at Le Meurice in Paris and designed all
the menus.
Hotel Description
A stunning mix of exotic sights, smells and sounds, Marrakech's
vibrant Medina has fascinated visitors for centuries past. And this
glossy new retreat, set within the Medina's walls, is the perfect
spot from which to explore its many diversions, without
compromising one iota on luxury.
Scattered amongst lush, walled gardens
you'll find individual riads centred around cool courtyards,
tinkling fountains and pristine plunge pools, while up on the roof,
tented lounging areas make for unforgettable Moroccan nights.
Inside this beautifully designed
property, traditional features abound with carved doors, mosaic
walls and sparkling lanterns, but the overall feel is of
quintessential modern opulence.
Explore the gardens and you'll discover
the resort's impressive 2,500m² spa and Hammam, shaded tea lounges,
well-stocked library and gallery, and immaculate swimming
pools.
Continue on and you'll find the three
gourmet restaurants and super-smart bars too. What you won't bump
into are members of staff -here the hotel is serviced by
underground passages to ensure your peace and tranquillity remain
blissfully undisturbed.
