Our View
It's difficult not to fall in love with this resort. You'll
adore the clear waters, idyllic beaches and total self-indulgence.
Guests are allocated a personal host for the whole of their stay
and nothing's too much trouble; the food is amongst the best we've
tasted in this part of the world too. We also loved how all this
hedonism is offset by making luxuries environmentally sound: such
as solar-powered showers and projects like financing the local
school. Make sure you take the complimentary island tour, and
you'll enjoy a fascinating insight into island life.
Hotel Description
Azura is located on tropical Benguerra Island and is
Mozambique's first carbon-neutral resort. Spacious thatched-roof
villas are decorated in a traditional Mozambican style with a
contemporary edge and feature accessories straight from the sea,
including architectural driftwoods and seashells; choose the
Presidential Villa if you're seeking maximum privacy and
uninterrupted panoramic views.
Coconut and tamarind are used in the spa's treatments and
outdoor diversions range from diving and snorkelling to sipping
cocktails on Azura's deluxe 40 ft dhow.
At night, dinner is served by candlelight on the beach, with the
extravagant seven-course tasting menu the highlight of the
week.
