Our View
What could be more romantic than lying back in your bed, gazing
up at millions of stars, surrounded by total tranquillity? Right in
the heart of the Namib, people come here specifically to do just
that, as there's no light pollution - and we can guarantee you've
never seen a sky so clear! The rooms are luxurious, with amazing
facilities given that you're in the middle of a desert; and they
certainly make the most of the beautiful panorama. With the
mesmerising colours of the red dunes, extra deep blue sky and
yellow wildflowers, it feels as if you're on another planet during
the day too.
Hotel Description
Expect the unexpected when you stay at beautiful Little Kulala.
Interiors have been exclusively designed with an unusual décor of
neutral tones, white washed wooden floors and intriguing textures,
which contrasts starkly with the sea of red sand and forest of
camel thorn trees. Thatch and canvas chalets, or 'kulalas', are
light and airy and built on a wooden platform to provide maximum
airflow; they have private plunge pools and a rooftop 'skybed' for
dreamy stargazing. Activities are varied and include game drives
and day trips into the mountains. For those who like a little
romance, try an early morning balloon flight and be suspended in
stillness, watching the night mist clearing on the magnificent sand
dunes and desert plains below.
