Our View
Laurence Graff obviously has an eye for
detail and beauty (Graff diamonds adorn anyone who is anyone); and
here he's created something very special.
Like any jewel, the setting is perfect
- a ridge in the mountain pass linking Stellenbosch and
Franschhoek, with views as far as Table Mountain.
But even more stunning are the
interiors (courtesy of David Collins, the genius behind The
Berkeley and Claridge's Bar in London) and the contemporary art -
all from Graff's private collection - throughout the resort. A
masterpiece.
Hotel Description
The Winelands are home to some fabulous
hotels - but this has rewritten the rulebook. There are just 10
spacious lodges, carefully positioned for perfect views, each
featuring heated infinity pools, exposed timbers and
custom-designed furniture.
The resort has a private cinema and
although small, the fully-equipped spa is perfectly formed with
pool, sauna, steam room and gym.
The uber-stylish restaurant creates
fresh, seasonal dishes to match some of the country's finest wines,
with regular tastings and cellar tours with the winemaker.
