Day 1 - Fly overnight from London Heathrow to
Cape Town with British Airways
Day 2 - Day 6 - Cape Town - 4 nights at
One&Only Cape Town
On arrival in Cape Town you will be transferred by private
vehicle to the One&Only Cape Town hotel, situated in the
charming Victoria & Alfred Waterfront, where you will spend
four nights. Some suggested activities during your stay would
include: exploring the V&A Waterfront with its shops, craft
markets, restaurants, bars and a superb aquarium; enjoying street
entertainers or boat trips around the harbour; taking a helicopter
flip along the spectacular coastline; visiting Robben Island where
Nelson Mandela was imprisoned; climbing (or taking the revolving
cable car) up Table Mountain during the day or at sunset; driving
to Cape Point and the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve (via
Boulders Beach to see the penguin colony there); relaxing on the
beach or sipping cocktails in the trendy bars of Camps Bay ;
enjoying the stunning, coastal Chapman's Peak drive; shopping at
Canal Walk; watching a rugby or cricket game at Newlands; visiting
the beautiful Kirstenbosch Gardens; cultural interaction with the
locals; deep sea fishing; all-year-round golf and much, much
more... Or simply enjoy the lovely spa and pool at One&Only
Cape Town.
Day 6 - Day 9 Cape Town to Franschhoek -
3 nights at La Residence
Take a leisurely drive to Franschhoek (around 1 hour) enjoying
the beautiful scenery of the winelands. During your stay, why not
visit the local vineyards for wine tastings and a scrumptious
lunch? Enjoy the town of Franschhoek with its quaint boutiques and
excellent restaurants. Alternatively, you could play golf, go
cycling, enjoy one of many walking trails, try wine tasting by
horseback, go trout fishing, quad-biking or enjoy a helicopter
flip, paraglide over the beautiful green countryside, go hot air
ballooning or relax on a horsedrawn carriage ride through the
winelands and village.
Day 9 - Day 12 Franschhoek to Hermanus -
3 nights at Birkenhead House
Take a leisurely drive over the Franschhoek Pass to Hermanus (90
minutes). Enjoy the stunning location and views from Birkenhead
House. In season (July to November) enjoy a boat trip to watch the
Southern Right Whales and sail around Dyer Island where the
adjacent Geyser Rock is home to thousands of Cape Fur Seals; other
water activities including Great White Shark Cage Diving, sea
kayaking and scuba diving. You might choose to hike the lush
mountain trails and study the indigenous bird life; visit local
wine farms and townships; or enjoy golf, bike rides, yoga and spa
treatments.
Day 12 - Day 15 Hermanus to Sabi Sand Private
Game Reserve - 3 nights at Singita Game
Reserve
Drive to Cape Town International Airport and drop off the rental
car. Fly either via Mpumalanga (KMIA) Airport or via Johannesburg
to Singita's private airstrip. On arrival you will be transferred
to the lodge. Enjoy twice-daily game drives & bush walks with
guides and trackers. Mountain biking and archery are available too,
or simply enjoy the fabulous lodge with its spa, gym and an African
artefacts and curio shop. There's also a premier wine boutique so
you might choose to just relax with a glass of wine in hand,
soaking up the views and spotting game from the plunge pool on your
own private deck.
Day 15 - Sabi Sand Private Game Reserve via
Johannesburg to London Heathrow (overnight
flight)
