Our View
They say this gives you a different perspective on safari, and
we'd have to agree. The twist is that the whole camp gets you
closer to the tribal life of the nomadic Maasai. The six huge
'yurts' (giant Mongolian style tents, not unlike a big top!) are
moved across Loliondo twice a year according to the season; and
the
emphasis here is on walking safaris rather than drives (although
they're readily available, if preferred). On foot you get to see
things you might otherwise miss, for a real feeling of wilderness
at ground level. Needless to say, the game encounters are more
exciting too!
Hotel Description
Nduara Loliondo was designed to celebrate Nomadic cultures
around the world: the Mongolian Gers, and our own Maasai bomas.
The outcome of this heady mix of culture, style and comfort is
one of the most
amazing camps you will ever see.
