Our View
How often can you actually stay in a film set? Many people
probably remember the Beverly Wilshire from 'Pretty Woman'
(although the lobby they used, incidentally, is nothing like the
real thing), and it is indeed 'the Queen of Beverly Hills hotels'.
Having said that, you'll find it surprisingly peaceful and calm;
it's more subtle opulence, rather than the glitzy glamourpuss you
might expect. With Rodeo Drive literally yards away you won't have
far to carry your shopping, and if you like sushi, try Urasawa a
couple of blocks away - expensive, but exquisite!
Hotel Description
Located between Wilshire Boulevard and Rodeo Drive, this famed
hotel lies only steps away from some of the most exciting shopping,
restaurants and art galleries in the world. Significant recent
changes have transformed this elegant grand dame into a shiny, 21st
century destination with a spectacular 8,000 sq ft, nine treatment
room spa, an Italian-style villa pool area with luxurious cabanas
and upgraded guest rooms with 42 inch plasma TVs and Internet
access. It also has Wolfgang Puck's first contemporary steak
restaurant, Cut, and an adjoining lounge, both designed by the
renowned architect Richard Meier.
