Our View
Sixty seconds. That's all the time it
takes to fill the bathtub (and it's not small!). But such quiet
efficiency and attention to detail is typical here.
The top-notch staff have a real
'can-do' attitude (especially the concierge, who can sort
anything!), which is one reason everyone who's anyone has stayed
here.
It's über-luxurious, yet surprisingly
unpretentious. Our favourite bits? Seeing Manhattan from your bed
(it's the city's tallest hotel), and the hotel bar's Martinis -
some of the best in NY!
Hotel Description
This is everything you'd expect of a
grand New York hotel, and more: a luxurious, Art Deco-style,
honey-coloured edifice with a swanky address between Madison and
Park Avenue.
The huge choice of rooms (the largest
and highest in the city) includes 63 suites; the extra-special
Penthouse even has a library, spa, grand piano, Zen Garden and 360°
views of the city!
All the other facilities you'd expect
are here too, including two excellent restaurants: the formal Fifty
Seven, and stylish l'Atelier Joel Robuchon.
