Our View
The reborn Four Seasons Santa Barbara, on Butterfly Beach is
chock-full of character! You can almost imagine Lauren Bacall
slinking down the corridor, or Clark Gable playing croquet on the
lawns; with its distinctive Spanish Colonial style, it feels like a
throwback to a Golden Age. The gardens are utterly beautiful, too -
when you arrive, the concierge even hands you a map showing all the
different flowers. It's peaceful and quiet - but the mood changes
at weekends, when LA's urbanites arrive for weekend getaways.
Hotel Description
Surrounded by lush, perfectly manicured gardens in a peaceful
location, Santa Barbara's grande dame has been a favourite
destination since the 1920s. Hints of colonial Spanish architecture
can be seen in the sweeping archways, heavy carved entry doors and
colourful tiles. Modern amenities include a sumptuous
10,000-square-foot spa, which includes eleven treatment rooms, a
pool and gardens and guest rooms featuring rain showers, deep
soaking tubs and high-tech gadgets at your disposal. Guests may
also take advantage of exclusive access to the Coral Casino Beach
and Cabana Club, a private members' club offering an expansive
pool, fitness and dining on Butterfly Beach.
