Our View
'Spot the A-lister' is a game everyone can play at Shutters -
it's a favourite haunt of Hollywood's finest. Beautifully designed
in a New England style, it's cosy, relaxing and very luxurious. The
pool's on the small side - but hey, when you've got Santa Monica
beach on your doorstep (literally), what more do you need? You'll
love the constant sound of the ocean here, too. To see stars, stay
at weekends or hit the main bar from around 4pm. Make sure you
don't miss Santa Monica too. It's got a cool, laid-back, 'surfer'
vibe, coupled with fantastic shopping (think Covent Garden with
great weather!).
Hotel Description
Newly appointed Obama White House designer Michael Smith, has
certainly sprinkled his magic here at Shutters on the Beach;
interiors are understatedly elegant with hues and patterns of blue
and chalky white set against whitewashed woods. The laid-back
atmosphere at Shutters creates a cool summerhouse vibe and has
lovely areas which help you totally relax, like the comfy sofas in
the fireside lounge or the wicker-furnished balconies where
brilliant sea views are uninterrupted. Luxurious indulgences
include ONE, the spa which offers a decadent range of Ole Henriksen
treatments and products, a Jacuzzi with compulsory wave watching
and elegant seafood dishes at the nautically-themed One Pico
restaurant.
