Our View
Majestic is what springs to mind when you step into this
beautiful 1927 building on the corner of 77th and
Madison.
Interior designer Jacques Grange and renowned hotelier James
Sherwin have together created an Art Deco-infused hotel to be
reckoned with, one where even the smallest room - at 400sq ft - is
almost a miracle by New York standards.
The Mark Restaurant, with its menu by award-winning Jean-Georges
Vongerichten, is Deco heaven with its towering light-filled walls
and glass roof, whilst the Mark Bar is equally impressive, ditto
the clientele it attracts.
The overwhelming sense you get from The Mark is that its
proprietors really have put their heart and soul into this, with
impressive results.
