Our View
There's a wonderful balance of
old-world elegance and hip design aesthetic here. As well as
classic and cutting-edge sharing the same space, the two wings of
the hotel are linked by an art gallery featuring Argentina's
leading contemporary artists and sculptors, which goes under the
lovely gardens (it's hard to believe you're at the heart of
downtown!).
If you appreciate the art of the
winemaker though, head for the Vinoteca, with its 3,000 bottles of
Argentinean wine and special cheese room.
Hotel Description
In the exclusive Recoleta
neighbourhood, this mix of 1930s elegance and 21st Century cool is
just right - nice touches include 'night mode' bathroom lights and
cordless phones to use throughout the hotel.
Garden-facing rooms have the better
view, and suites in the original palace feel larger, with more
period details. The pool and spa set new standards for Buenos
Aires, and the three restaurants have a deservedly excellent
reputation.
And if the Latin mood takes you, the
hotel even offers tango lessons!
