Day 1 - Fly from London Heathrow to Rio de
Janeiro
Day 2 - Arrive in Rio de Janeiro - 4 Nights at
the Copacabana Palace
Day 3 - Visit Corcovado & Sugar Loaf
Mountain
Visit Lagoa District at the foot of the Sugar Loaf and hop in
the cable car for a wonderful ride up one of Rio's famous landmarks
- the views are spectacular! From here, continue through the
traditional suburbs of Cosme Velho, where you will take the
cogwheel train up amongst the trees and may enjoy the marvellous
panoramic view of the city below.
Day 4 - Visit Petrópolis
This is where the Brazilian Royal Family had their summer
palace, which is now a famous museum housing the crown jewels,
antiques and treasures from the past.
Day 5 - Day at leisure to enjoy the sights and
sounds of Rio.
Day 6 - Rio de Janeiro to Iguaçu - 2 Nights Hotel
das Cataratas
The only hotel located inside the Iguaçu National Park on the
Brazilian side with fabulous views and access to the falls. The
hotel has been recently taken over by Orient Express and has been
renovated, yet still retains its Portuguese style and traditional
feel.
