Our View
It's one of those very special travel
moments; having one of the world's greatest natural wonders - a
spectacular collection of nearly 300 waterfalls - all to
yourself.
That's because as a guest at the only
hotel on the Brazil side of the Iguassu National Park, you'll have
access to the falls after the tour buses have gone.
If you can, stay around the time of a
full moon and take a night time tour; when the silver light hits
the falls, it creates an awe-inspiring midnight rainbow!
Hotel Description
Although opened in 1958 (and being
beautifully refurbished by Orient-Express), Das Cataratas'
elaborate Portuguese style makes it feel a lot older; lots of
archways, heavy wooden furniture and florid tiling and fabrics
(suites and most of the Deluxe Rooms have the best views of the
falls).
The refurb also added a spacious pool,
two restaurants and a spa featuring ingredients from the rain
forest. Activities include walking, rafting, climbing and, of
course, boat or helicopter trips to view the Iguassu Falls.
