Day 1 - Fly from London
Heathrow to Calgary. On arrival, overnight in Calgary at Le
Germain.
Day 2 - Calgary to Banff - 2
nights at Rimrock Resort Hotel
Here you can spend the day exploring
Banff, the Cave and Basin National Historic Site. Take the Gondola
for jaw-dropping panoramic views of the Bow Valley and for a
totally holistic, back-to-nature approach, take a dip in the hot
mineral pools at the Upper Hot Springs.
Day 4 - Banff to Jasper, via
Lake Louise - 3 nights at The Fairmont Jasper Park
Lodge.
Here you will truly experience the
Canadian Rockies with the never-ending procession of mammoth
mountains and jagged peaks, over 100 glaciers and pristine emerald
coloured lakes. A perfect Kodak moment is just before you arrive in
Jasper: look out for Athabasca Falls. A host of activities awaits,
including the Jasper Tramway which is the longest and highest
guided aerial tramway in Canada.
Day 7 - Jasper to Vancouver,
via Kamloops - All aboard the Rocky Mountaineer train - 1 night
Scenic rail journey to Kamloops.
As the train crosses over the
Continental Divide you will pass through the spiral tunnels in Yoho
National Park. Overnight accommodation is provided in Kamloops.
Day 8 - Vancouver- 3 nights at
the Shangri-La, Vancouver
Discover Canada's 3rd largest
metropolitan centre. Vancouver is a busy port with a multi-cultural
ambience. The spectacular setting invites you outdoors: there are
many museums, but be sure to see such sights as Chinatown,
historical Gastown, the markets of Granville Island and the famous
shopping district of Robson Street.
Day 11 - Vancouver to Victoria
- 2 nights at Brentwood Bay Lodge
Take in the charm of Victoria with its
turn of the century architecture and British traditions such as
high tea and shops full of woollens and china. Enjoy an
exhilarating trip in search of Orca and Minke Whales, Gray Whales,
porpoises, harbour seals and other marine wildlife.
Day 13 - Victoria to Tofino - 2
nights at Wickaninnish Inn
This area really does offer the
wildlife adventure you are looking for. Spend the day coastal bear
watching - quiet excursion travel is along fjord inlets, with stops
in sheltered bays. Black bears come out of the rainforest to feed
on crunchy crabs! Whale watching is available year round: from
March to May there's the annual Gray Whale migration and from June
to November, the Gray and Humpback Whales reside in local feeding
areas.
Day 15 - Vancouver to London
