Clayoquot Wilderness Resort Vancouver Island, B.C.

Our View

While it's certainly the great outdoors, banish any thoughts of roughing it. This is camping, but not as you know it: luxury sleeping tents with antique furniture, handmade beds and Persian rugs; dining tents; games tent; library tent and much more. Gourmet meals (served on china) are cooked over an open fire by the resident chef; and horse riding, kayaking, mountain biking and canoeing are all included if you want them. For a really memorable trip we'd go 'flightseeing' over Clayoquot Sound - it feels like a safari, but amongst Canada's finest. It's wild. It's civilised. And it's totally unique!

Hotel Description

Inspired by the Great Camps of the 19th Century, Clayoquot Wilderness Resort is a spectacular, summeronly, eco-safari resort where personalised service is matched only by the stunning backdrop of the Bedwell River and the 9-mile-long fjord beyond. You'll stay in one of 20 huge, white, canvas guest tents, be entertained in the lavish, turn of the century-inspired lounge tent, and feast in the unique dining tents on "modern natural cuisine" with the emphasis on fresh, local and simple ingredients.
