Our View
Spectacular really doesn't do it justice (so naturally it's an
Eden Favourite!); it's a luxury lodge floating on one of Canada's
most scenic bays. The experience begins with the seaplane journey;
then you're greeted with champagne; after that, whatever you want
to do, they'll make it happen. Rooms are lovely and there's a great
spa, but most people come for what's outside. Whales, bears
(including the White Kermode Bear),, eagles - you'll see them all;
and naturally, there's some of the world's best fly-fishing, hiking
and kayaking here too. A helicopter's even available for
heli-hiking! If you love Canada's great outdoors, it simply doesn't
get any better than this.
Hotel Description
Perched like a grand colonial mansion on the edge of Pacific
Ocean and at the foot of the Great Bear Rainforest - the largest
intact temperate rainforest left on Earth - King Pacific Lodge is
nothing short of wondrous. Accessible only by float plane, you'll
stay in one of 17 sumptuous suites and dine on Pacific Northwest
food in the homely Dining Room, whilst activities are bountiful,
from ocean fishing to wlderness kayaking. Little wonder this has
been voted one of the leading eco-tourism resorts in the world.
