Banyan Tree Hotels & Resorts set themselves extraordinary
standards, and here's no exception. Newest of the Riviera Maya
hotels, the contemporary architecture is quite dramatic. The feel
is breezy and open with water everywhere (even in the lobby area!)
and charming particularly the electric boat to ferry you around the
resort. The excellent spa's treatment rooms sit on stilts above the
water to make your experience even more relaxing (it works, too!).
Restaurants are excellent (particularly Saffron), and the staff
unbelievable.

This resort, opened just this spring, is a lesson in

signature restaurant "Saffron", which floats on pontoons.
The award-winning Banyan Tree Spa alone is compelling enough,
but when combined with the Greg Norman 18-hole championship golf
course, the snorkelling and diving in the Great Maya Reef and the
amazing Sian Ka'an Biosphere Reserve, the draw becomes
