Our View
As good as it gets? Quite possibly.
Arriving in one of the hotel's fourteen green Rolls-Royces (or
their helicopter) is just the start of an extraordinary experience.
You can really feel the history everywhere you look - but while the
style is nostalgic, the facilities are bang-upto- date.
The views of the harbour are just magnificent (make sure your
room's on that side); afternoon tea in The Lobby is a must-do, as
are cocktails in the fab Starck-designed Felix restuarant.
Hotel Description
A legend. 'The Pen' lives up to its
reputation in every way; perfect Eastern service mixed with oh-so
British traditions.
Rooms are vast, classically styled with
high-tech touches; suites are spectacular, right up to the 4,000ft²
Peninsula Suite complete with conference room and mini gym.
The indoor pool and terrace are equally
grand and have stunning harbour views, as does the ultraindulgent
spa. Nine restaurants and bars cover the world of gastronomy from
Swiss to Japanese, the best arguably being Gaddi's French
cuisine.
