Our View
Truly spectacular. And we don't just
mean the view across the river to Shanghai's futuristic skyline;
the Peninsula is an Art Deco masterpiece - even though it only
opened in 2010. The attention-to-detail is phenomenal.
Not just the authentic 1920s materials,
but little features like the fingernail dryer in the dressing room,
and the spa setting on the bath that dims the lights, puts a do not
disturb function on the doorbell and phone and plays relaxing
music.
And as for the fabulous, naturally lit
pool - WOW!
Hotel Description
The first new building on the Bund for
60 years, the location couldn't be better. And nor could the 235
rooms - the largest in the city, the Art Deco feel is enhanced by
very clever technology.
The fitness and spa facilities are
equally well-appointed and the restaurants have taken Shanghai
dining to new heights, with China's first Michelin-starred chef in
the Yi Long Court, and French of the highest order at the rooftop
Sir Elly's. There are also the best views in Shanghai.
