Our View
C'est magnifique! This feels like a
small corner of France in Asia, with its Cote d'Azur-style façade
and glass canopies, Parisian-style cafés serving fine wines, cheese
and pastries and even Hermès room toiletries!
To complete the French feel, we honed
our cordon bleu skills with a cookery class (including a market
trip and lunch), and couldn't resist a trip in the hotel's 1953
Citroën with one of their 'in-the-know' personal shoppers - once
they've found what you're looking for, they'll even haggle for
you!
Hotel Description
Fresh from a four-year renovation,
Vietnam's legendary luxurious hotel is now effectively two
buildings working as one: the Metropole wing retains all the
original Colonial charm and allure, while the new Opera wing is
altogether more dramatic, with subtle lighting, bold wallpapers and
rich fabrics.
Club level rooms have 24-hour butler
service, and the expansion has added an excellent new spa with
themed treatment suites, Hammam and Finnish sauna. Three
restaurants serve a choice of Vietnamese, classic French and
Italian cuisine.
