Our View
You might be just steps from Legian
beach - one of Bali's best - and at the heart of Seminyak, the
island's hippest beach town, but ensconced in the Oberoi's 15 acres
of beautiful fragrant gardens, it's all too easy to forget where
you are. It's one of the most romantic settings on the island
(although the hotel does welcome children); a quiet sunset stroll
on the beach will give you a taste of the real Bali. To that end,
we'd recommend dinner in the openair amphitheatre combined with
traditional Balinese music and dance; an unforgettable experience,
especially against the setting sun!
Hotel Description
The island's finest resort has a choice
of villas and lanais, both supremely comfortable. The lanai
cottages have large terraces and sunken baths in unique garden
bathrooms, whereas the villas feature private pools, raised dining
pavilions and courtyard gardens.
The gardens overall are magnificent,
the pool shaded by frangipani being particularly gorgeous.
The spa features Ayurvedic therapies,
massages and treatments in serene open-air pavilions next to water,
while the Kura Kura restaurant (one of four in the resort) is
renowned for some of the island's best cuisine, especially its
seafood.
The Oberoi has won countless awards,
not least for its service which is nothing short of outstanding
(especially the complimentary fruit skewers and mango sorbets
throughout the day!)
