Our View
The Oriental's attention to detail is surely the key to its
success. Boasting some of the most impeccable staff you could hope
for, the hotel ensures their guests are treated like royalty -
probably one of the reasons it's a favourite with celebrities. It
is a little pricier than other five star hotels in Bangkok, but if
you're going for luxury why not go for all-out pure unadulterated
decadence. Dining on the verandah on the banks of the Chao Phraya
River, incidentally, as traditional Thai boats sail by with the
gleaming city skyline behind, is almost surreal.
Hotel Description
As luxurious as luxury allows, the five-star Oriental, in the
thumping heart of Bangkok, is all that is contemporary with a
historical context. The hotel itself is compelling, having welcomed
guests into its sumptuous quarters for over 130 years. Each suite
is an amalgamation of relaxation and effervescence, vibrant design
mixed with traditional twists, whilst the hotel's penchant for
floral decoration is a treat for the senses - and its diverse
cuisine a necessary extravagance!
