Our View
An understated, laid-back hotel with outstanding food and wine,
plus the owner has a huge wine cellar (his passion - but most
wines are at an additional charge; house wines are served by the
glass and included in the cost), which he loves to show
guests. Things to note: rooms can be either on the beach or on the
bluff (which may not suit elderly people who can't manage
stairs) and the beach rooms/suites are located on the hotel's
second beach, which does not have service. It's a fabulous place
but not a young singles resort, more for grown-ups who like
nothing more than to relax, sunbathe and dine.
Hotel Description
With a legendary club-like atmosphere, Curtain Bluff is the
place to kick off your shoes and forget about civilisation for
a while. The beaches are the main focus here: one dramatic and
windswept, the other calm and serene; great for trying your
hand at some of the complimentary watersports.
The new 5,000 sqft water's-edge spa sits overlooking the
ocean and the nearby island of Montserrat, and has five treatment
rooms, one especially for 'loved up' couples. Curtain Bluff
was awarded the world renowned Green Globe 21 standard for
its environmentally friendly accommodation, so you won't find
a television or a radio and you won't need to use a room key,
there just isn't the need.
Try to stay at a Grace Bay or Morris Bay suite, as they are
considered to be some of the finest rooms in the West Indies:
generously proportioned and the ultimate in luxury, with a
large terrace and Jacuzzi.
