Our View
Imagine staying in not just a chic, designer hotel, but a chic,
designer fishing village: that's how it feels to be part of Cala di
Volpe. It has more of a resort feel than a hotel, but with a truly
unique atmosphere and gorgeous setting. Everything about it is just
perfect; what struck us most though were the distinctive splashes
of colour everywhere. It's predominantly whitewash, of course, but
the occasional exterior is pink or blue, while inside it might be a
tiled floor, piece of furniture or even painted steps that add a
vivid primary-coloured accent. Wonderful!
Hotel Description
When the Aga Khan set his sights on developing the still
unspoilt coastline of Costa Smeralda he managed to create a
palatial Sardinian-style village resort like no other; a
destination in itself, a self-contained world of relaxation.
It is nestled in one of the most picturesque and glamorous
spots overlooking a yacht-filled Sardinian bay with
traditional towers and terraces which blend perfectly with the
surrounding landscape.
The individually appointed guest rooms and suites have
balconies overlooking the scenic panorama and are uniquely
decorated with a selection of traditional furnishings and art.
At restaurant Cala di Volpe, guests experience International
cuisine with legendary sumptuous poolside buffets.
Guests can distract themselves with a game of tennis, a
swim in the Olympic-sized saltwater pool or take the
five-minute boat ride to the hotel's enchanting private beach.
There's a putting green, a nearby golf course, even
a water-skiing school and boats for rental with or without
hired crew.
