When you think of Italy you probably
think, "...sophisticated, stylish, steeped in history, with
top-notch gastronomy at your beck and call…" - and that's exactly
what Villa La Massa is. It's a hotel which isn't afraid to show off
either: some of the rooms are blow-your-hat-off opulent! La Massa
is also particularly accommodating of families, with a full
programme of activities for kids. Younger guests are given a goody

Hotel Description
Situated on the banks of the River Arno in the Tuscan
hills, very close to Florence and surrounded by 22 acres of
serene parkland, this 16th Century Medici villa shows off
breathtaking Renaissance splendour at every turn.
There are just 37 rooms and suites, each of
them individually designed and showcasing the finest
interiors, including antique furniture and exquisite woodwork
by famous Florentine cabinet makers and sumptuous bathrooms of
Carrara marble. Dining - whether by the heated outdoor pool
nestled between lush Tuscan fields, or in the Il Verrocchio
restaurant with its vaulted ceilings and ornate décor - is
a celebration of local and Mediterranean specialities.
The Beauty Centre houses a fitness and treatment room, and
a private wine cellar offers a selection of more than 300
labels for tasting. Other activities which can be organised
nearby include horse riding, golf, mountain biking and tennis.
Complimentary shuttles to and from Florence, with its historic
