Our View
There's a BIG sense of space
here. Everything's huge: oversized beds, vast marble
bathrooms, 13ft ceilings, enormous swimming pools… even the golf
course is one of Europe's longest!
It has a real feeling of luxury - but
although palatial, it's not impersonal. The service couldn't be
better; everything is taken care of, no detail is overlooked.
And it's those details that struck us
most.
From cloister doors sourced from
Andalucian convents to the wire chandelier above the bed, they all
help make this an absolute stunner - though best of all are the
views of the Med on one side and the mountains on the other.
Hotel Description
Keen golfers will already know this as
home to the Volvo World Match Play Tournament - but this
magnificent resort has much more than just 18 holes of
top-notch golf.
Billed as a 'Paradise of Privacy', its
tranquil ambience is centred on a beautiful courtyard of olive and
oak trees; the suites are equally beguiling, with great design
touches and colourful accents that subtly add personality.
The outstanding cuisine includes
Spanish, Italian and the signature Schilo, with its Asian-Arabic
fusion (don't miss the excellent tasting menu!).
Nor should you miss the spa with,
amongst other things, Spain's only snow cave (apparently good for
the circulation), and a water menu with no less than 18 different
to try!
