Our View
There's a grand, aristocratic air to this Edwardian sporting
estate. The spacious rooms and suites certainly offer sumptuous
levels of luxury, but overall it feels less 'exclusive' and more
fun, 1920's glamour. As well as challenging golf, there are so many
activities to enjoy, you'd need a month to fit them all in - from
falconry to playing cricket against the local team. It always feels
busy here - there are many weddings and always lots of golfers -
and it's brilliant for families. Many opt for the excellent private
lodges in the grounds and children have their own Bovey Rangers
Club and activities.
Hotel Description
A jaw-droppingly spectacular Edwardian country manor with
exquisite views over Dartmoor National Park. One step inside this
luxury retreat and you'll think you've died and gone to period
drama heaven, only with up-to-the-minute mod-cons and tasteful,
polished and sensitive styling throughout. You'll either stay in
one of the 63 rooms inside the original castle, or one of 14
three-bedroom granite lodges in the sumptuous grounds; each a
majestic base from which to enjoy one of England's finest golf
courses, the Galvanic Spa, and the three lush dining options
including the Art Deco-style Edwardian Grill.
