Cliveden Taplow, Berkshire

Our View

This has to be our most historic destination. A National Trust property, Cliveden's tradition of hospitality dates from 1666. It's ideal for a romantic break; you'll be in good company too, as guests here have included every British monarch since George I, Prime Ministers and Presidents. Needless to say then, the service is sublime, the surroundings priceless (bear in mind its age!) and the setting breathtaking: the Terrace Dining Room (one of three restaurants) has wonderful views over the Thames. The Pavilion Spa too, is excellent, with indoor and outdoor pools surrounded by walled gardens. Very special indeed.
