Our View
This has to be our most historic destination. A National Trust
property, Cliveden's tradition of hospitality dates from 1666. It's
ideal for a romantic break; you'll be in good company too, as
guests here have included every British monarch since George I,
Prime Ministers and Presidents. Needless to say then, the service
is sublime, the surroundings priceless (bear in mind its age!) and
the setting breathtaking: the Terrace Dining Room (one of three
restaurants) has wonderful views over the Thames. The Pavilion Spa
too, is excellent, with indoor and outdoor pools surrounded by
walled gardens. Very special indeed.
Hotel Description

unspoilt stretch of the Thames, has played host to Royals, Prime
Ministers and Presidents in its 300-year history. Now it's your
turn to dine in the oakpanelled splendour of Waldo's Restaurant, to
sleep amongst silks and antiques in the individually-styled rooms,

immaculate spa, in this most stately of country hotels where
history truly comes to life.
