Le Manoir Aux Quat' Saisons Oxfordshire

Our View

Haute cuisine, of course, but with the more relaxed, continental attitude you might expect from Raymond Blanc. It's reflected in the hotel he's created too; it feels more like a luxurious, welcoming home than anything snooty, and the fact that Le Manoir is one of the few Michelin-starred restaurants to accept children demonstrates this further. Rooms can be cool and contemporary or cosy and chintzy (or anything in between); but for a real treat try the oriental-style Opium Suite, with its own walled garden. This hotel is a must if you're a foodie - it's at the heart of everything here.

Hotel Description

Even without Raymond Blanc's two-Michelin starred restaurant with its own cookery school, this would still qualify as one of the most exquisite hotel experiences in England. Nestled in the Oxfordshire countryside, Le Manoir offers individually designed rooms, from dramatic to romantic but always sumptuous, and grounds bursting with lavender, 16th Century water gardens and herbs for use in those kitchens. The overall effect is one of absolute retreat and indulgence. No wonder it's become a by-word for relaxation.
