Our View
Bath is the epitome of English elegance; and so is the Royal
Crescent. An architectural gem, it offers the sort of slow-paced
luxury all-too-rare nowadays. Rooms feature four-posters and marble
baths in romantic surroundings befitting Jane Austen, and don't
miss afternoon tea in the gardens. The Bath House, the hotel's
perfect small-scale spa, is beautifully calm and relaxing - try the
'Signature' treatment, which brings together many of the spa's
unique therapies. A 1920's river launch is available for private
charter, and hot air balloon trips can be arranged. We can't think
of a better way to see the city!
Hotel Description
Nestled at the heart of the internationally renowned splendour
of the Royal Crescent in Bath, a World Heritage Site, be prepared
to step foot into the pages of a Jane Austen novel. Being part of
what is regarded as the world's finest crescent is one thing, being
pampered to your heart's content amongst the divine trappings of
the Royal Crescent Hotel is quite another. Each of the 45 lovingly
restored rooms is an absolute gem, adorned with fresh seasonal
flowers, and named after famous figures from history, all of whom
have a special association with the area.
Thomas Gainsborough, William Beckford, Jane Austen and Sir Percy
Blakeney are just a few. The Dower House restaurant is amongst the
city's finest dining experiences and overlooks the Crescent's
delightful gardens - a sight most visitors to Bath never get to see
- whilst befitting this regal hotel is The Bath House spa, situated
in a former coach house, where ancient and modern treatments
combine in indulgent harmony. Quite simply the picture-perfect base
from which to revel in this enchanting city.
