Our View
The Ritz is a venerable institution (as is the famous afternoon
tea!). It's opulent in the extreme - with some of its original
sparkle and polish recently restored. Although French in style
(Belle Époque rooms each have their own character, while corner
rooms are grander and more spacious), the ambience is very British,
with formal dress (no jeans) insisted upon. The discreet service is
all you'd expect, and naturally there's a Rolls Royce Phantom
available for guests. Above all though, the Ritz has an air of
authenticity: it is the Golden Age of Travel, not some modern
recreation.
Hotel Description
One of the most famous hotels in the world, a favourite with
celebrities and royalty alike, The Ritz is, quite simply, a legend.
Salons, rooms and suites reflect the splendour of a bygone age,
with landmarks like The Palm Court and the Rivoli Bar living up to
their reputations, while the beautiful terrace restaurant is an
unexpected treat. A special VIP Children's Programme, a fitness
room, jewellery shop and that world-famous afternoon tea, make this
a sheer delight.
