Our View
An unusual mix of tradition with super-cool, this brings its own
definition to 'rustic chic'. It literally oozes quality. Each room
in this converted flour mill is filled with contemporary Italian
furniture, sumptuous 6ft wide beds, Bose sound systems and Loewe
flat-screens. The Starck bathrooms are equally indulgent (some big
enough to fit three!), complete with revered Jo Malone toiletries.
Service and attention to detail (fires burning and music playing as
you check in) are astonishing, as is the restaurant, serving
lavish, Modern European cuisine. Be warned though: it's so
delicious you may come away a few inches wider!
Hotel Description
From the outside, a vision of rustic beauty with its
clapperboard walls; from the inside, a full-blooded boutique hotel
full of designer touches, this Suffolk water mill is guaranteed to
surprise and delight. In the bedrooms, exposed beams blend with
white walls and clean-lined furnishings to create a stylishly
minimalist look, with bathtubs for two taking pride of place. And
the romance continues in the restaurant where modern delicacies are
served to a backdrop of swans floating on the mill pond.
