We can't recommend highly enough the experience of having your own private Crusoe residence, which looks like a picturesque local hut, out on the lagoon. And if you should get tired of your own company (unlikely in these surroundings), there's always the company of the main resort to lock into.

Choose one of the 45 environmentally-friendly villas with their outdoor bathrooms and private gardens or go for those secluded Crusoe residences, which you can only get to by boat. Dine on your private deck, or, maybe for a change, in the wine cellar, the organic vegetable garden or just have champagne on a sunset cruise.

The Six Senses Spa offers pampering with an underwater view through your massage table into the sea below, while for the more energetic there's what looks like an acre of palm-fringed pool, plus tennis, watersports or deep-water fishing. When it comes to recharging, nowhere does it quite like here.
