Our View
There's something special about a brand
new resort (rather like a brand new car!) - it's untouched,
unspoilt, totally fresh.
And Long Beach is certainly that -
especially compared with the island's usual colonial-style resorts.
It's all airy metro chic with a tropical twist - we particularly
admired the adjustable 'windbreaks' to deal with sea breezes, with
shiny new wood and a sparkling colour palette of apple greens and
coral reds.
Add the longest and widest pure white
beach on Mauritius, and we're head over heels!
Hotel Description
Long Beach brings, something very
different for Mauritius: an urban piazza-style layout that gives
the resort a focal point, bringing its restaurants (six in all,
including Italian, Japanese and Chinese), shops, bars and nightclub
together.
The rooms are carefully arranged in
crescents so every one sees the ocean (and marvellous beach), and
there's plenty to do including golf (at sister resort Le Touessrok)
and a fabulous spa; there are dedicated clubs for kids and teens,
too.
