Our View
Sometimes, only a cliché will do, and this really is the jewel
of the Seychelles, your own private paradise, cut offfrom pretty
much everyone and everything, except all the things that make a
holiday of a lifetime. Not only is accommodation restricted to
40, no day visitors are permitted so you literally can disappear
from civilisation, though if you hanker after a bit of
company, you can always mingle at the Beach Bar at Anse Bambous. As
forthe Rock Spa, you enter through a granite canyon, you're flanked
by waterfalls, and the views are jaw-dropping. We defy you ever to
leave the place!
Hotel Description
One island, 740 acres, never more than 40 residents; this is
Frégate, the Seychelles' most remote island and probably its
most exclusive. Strict regulations were key to the resort's
development, meaning the island's stunning natural beauty has
been maintained, and in some cases improved; there's a divine
marina which overlooks a text-book beautiful lagoon, protected
by a small reef making swimming here particularly safe
and idyllic.
Frégate's accommodation is made up from 16 villas (hence the
restriction on residents), each one fashioned from deep,
native mahogany so that they blend naturally with the environment,
and each and every one boasting a large terrace, day bed and
Jacuzzi.
There are two freshwater pools and seven beaches, one
of them, Anse Victorin, renowned as one of the most beautiful
beaches in the world, with the island hosting an impressive
array of activities, most of them water-based.
