Our View
The rooms here are, quite frankly, massive! Yet there's still
that air of intimacy, which is pretty hard to come by
in Dubai, what with the cranes and the mega-structures popping
up left, right and everywhere else. The service is also
impeccable. The look of the place isn't as shiny and 'out there' as
a lot of new Dubai, but then it's a welcome respite from the
competitive architecture that has become the city's trademark.
Hotel Description
A unique, sumptuously-designed boutique resort in the sprawling
architectural playground of Dubai, the Residence & Spa is
literally that, a home from home, but with every imaginable,
extra-special bonus you get from the highest standard of
hotels. Forty-eight spacious (even by Dubai standards) rooms, each
with double-sized bath and rainfall shower, are spread over
four Arabian-style buildings, each of which has its
own entrance to the ornamental gardens.
Choose the executive suite, and a rooftop terrace is yours for
breakfast alfresco (as well as people-watching), whilst the
well-concealed garden villa is popular with celebrity
guests, and seeing as the Residence & Spa is part of the
larger One&Only Royal Mirage complex, there's a
65-acre garden plus two of the largest pools in Dubai at your
disposal. Attached to the Residence & Spa is the Spa, with
its dome and sweeping arches and its tantalising traditional
Oriental Hammam.
