Our View
Al Bandar shares many facilities with the other two hotels here,
but has a more relaxed feel (especially compared with the
family-friendly Al Waha). The focal point of the complex, it houses
more of the restaurants and leisure facilities and feels that
little bit more sophisticated than Al Waha, but not as'boutiquey'
and exclusive as the Al Husn. We particularly like the Piano Bar
with its live music (great for a nightcap). If you want the perfect
mix of everything this resort can offer, this has it.
Hotel Description
One of three new hotels at Shangri-La's Barr Al Jissah resort,
the Al Bandar has luxury and space at the top of its agenda. Each
of the 197 sea-facing guest rooms is at least 45 square metres,
with Arabianinspired décor and exquisite attention to detail.
Forming part of the Barr Al Jissah resort, which cuts a dramatic
dash in the side of a sand-coloured bay, it's all about rugged
mountains, inviting beaches, crystal clear pools and a
show-stopping spa.
